School Meals

School meals are prepared on the premises. We have a tray service system. There is a main course with vegetables and a dessert. The children have lunch in a rota system which changes weekly.

A free meal is supplied to children whose parents are in receipt of certain benefits such as Income Support. If you think your child may be entitled to free meals please contact the school. Children receiving free school meals are treated in exactly the same way as children who pay.

Children may take a school meal as long as the school administrator is informed of this in advance. Children are requested to change by giving two weeks written notice.

Children may bring a healthy packed lunch. This must be in a container with a lid and all rubbish must be taken home.

Sweets

We encourage healthy eating at school and therefore request that sweets are not brought to school or included in packed lunches.

Fruit

Fruit is provided free of charge for children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. Children from Year 3 to Year 6 have the opportunity to buy fruit each day.

Milk

Children in Nursery and Reception are provided with milk each day.

Water

We encourage children to drink water throughout the school day. Research has shown that this encourages learning. Children will be provided with a water bottle which can be refilled daily with fresh water.
